Sofwave
Ultrasound beams delivered in parallel to a set depth in the skin, with cooling built in — for fine lines and firmer skin.
Book a consultationWhat is Sofwave
Sofwave uses what its maker calls Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam technology. Instead of focusing ultrasound to deep points, it sends several parallel beams to a fixed depth of about 1.5 mm, in the middle of the dermis, where collagen is made.
The handpiece cools the surface while it works, which protects the top layer and keeps treatment tolerable. The heat prompts the skin to remodel collagen and elastin over the following weeks.
In the US, Sofwave is FDA-cleared for several uses, including the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and lifting of the brow, under the chin and neck.

If deeper lift is what you need, a focused-ultrasound device may be the better choice, or the two can be combined.

What to expect
Timing. Change builds over about one to three months as collagen remodels.
Degree. Smoother, firmer skin and softer fine lines; not a surgical lift.
Duration. It varies; maintenance may be considered after about a year.
Risks. Redness and mild swelling are common and short-lived. Uncommonly, temporary tenderness or small marks can occur.
Results differ from person to person. Nothing on this page is a prediction of your own outcome, and it does not replace a consultation. See our Medical Disclaimer.

That is what the consultation is for. We look at your skin and tell you which device we would use, which we would not — and whether the honest answer is a different treatment, or nothing for now.
