Medical Disclaimer
This site describes treatments carried out at Maylin Apgujeong Clinic in Seoul. It is written to help you prepare for a consultation. It is general information. A diagnosis, a prescription, or advice about your own case all require a consultation.
Reading this site does not create a clinical relationship
Nothing on this site establishes a doctor and patient relationship between you and Maylin Apgujeong Clinic or any of its doctors. That relationship begins when you are examined at the clinic. Messages exchanged before a visit are for arranging an appointment and setting expectations, not for diagnosis.
What this site cannot tell you
- Whether a treatment is appropriate for you. That is decided after your skin has been examined.
- What result you will get. Skin, age, medical history and how you heal all differ, and so do outcomes.
- Whether you have a condition that needs different care. Some skin changes need a diagnosis rather than an aesthetic treatment.
Every procedure described on this site carries risks and possible side effects. Those are set out on each treatment page and are reviewed with you in consultation before you consent.
Results are not guaranteed
If something is wrong now
Do not use this site to decide what to do in an emergency. In Korea, call 119 for emergency medical help. If you have had a treatment with us and something concerns you afterwards, call the clinic on +82 2-517-5767 during opening hours rather than waiting for a written reply.
Prices
The treatments described here are elective and are not covered by Korean national health insurance. Under Article 45 of the Medical Service Act, prices for non-covered treatment are posted at the clinic. You are given the price for your own plan in writing before treatment begins. Prices quoted before you travel are estimates for the plan discussed, and they may change if the plan changes after examination.
Medicines, devices and approved use
Products and devices used at the clinic are approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the uses stated in their approvals. Where a treatment is carried out in a way that is accepted in practice but falls outside the wording of an approval, that is explained to you in consultation before you consent.
